Meet Glen

Glen began his love of pottery back in 1991 when he was trained at The Carlton Art Centre in Melbourne and has continued to be inspired by the magic and creativity of clay ever since.

Establishing himself in Toowoomba from 2002. Glen now has a home based studio in Carina, Brisbane, where he runs regular Wheel Courses and Pottery Workshops, inspiring individuals to establish a connection between clay and creativity.

What to Expect in Your First Pottery Class

At Glen Wardle Ceramics, our "Have a Go" sessions are designed specifically for people who've never touched clay before. In just 2 hours, you'll:

  • Learn how to centre clay on the wheel

  • Create your own pottery pieces (usually 3-4 items)

  • Take home your creations once they're fired and glazed

  • Experience the therapeutic, meditative nature of working with clay

We're a home-based pottery studio in Carina, Brisbane - easily accessible from:

What Makes Our Pottery Classes Different?

Unlike large commercial studios, we keep our classes small (maximum 6 people per session). This means you get plenty of one-on-one guidance and attention. Our studio has a warm, welcoming atmosphere - think creative fun rather than intimidating art school!

Beyond Pottery: Other Creative Workshops

We also offer workshops in:

  • Candle making

  • Soap making (including ocean scene soaps)

  • Resin cheese boards and wall art

  • Alcohol ink art

All workshops are just $85 and include all materials.

Do I need experience? No! Our Have a Go sessions are designed for complete beginners.

What should I wear? Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting clay on. We provide aprons.

How long until I get my finished pieces? About 3-4 weeks after your class - we'll fire and glaze them for you.

Can I book for a group? Yes! We're perfect for birthday celebrations, hens parties, team building, or just a fun group activity.
